Social Media Publishing for Clubs

Plan and publish club social posts to connected supported social accounts, then review available publishing and analytics workflows.

Member Link includes connected-account social publishing tools for organisations that want to plan club updates alongside member administration. Connected platforms include Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok and YouTube; available formats and publishing permissions vary by network and account.

Connect the accounts you manage

An authorised staff member connects eligible social accounts through the relevant platform sign-in and grants the permissions requested. A connection can be affected by platform policy, token expiry, account role changes or provider outages. Only connect accounts the organisation is authorised to manage.

  • Confirm the correct Page or profile before composing.
  • Review account connection status before a scheduled post.
  • Do not share platform passwords or access tokens with committee members.

Compose with platform constraints in mind

The publisher can compose and schedule posts to connected platform targets, with per-platform rules enforced by the product. Format support differs across the connected networks; do not assume every image, video, carousel or post type publishes identically everywhere. Check the target preview and any validation warning.

Review the publishing result

The product includes a social calendar and publishing analytics for connected accounts. Platform APIs determine whether an accepted post appears, and analytics availability differs by network. A scheduled post is not a guarantee of reach, engagement or successful delivery; review per-platform results and retry or reconnect when prompted.

  • Worked example: schedule a club event announcement to its connected Facebook Page and Instagram account, review each target's format check, and verify each network's publish result separately.
  • Keep an accessible copy of the approved caption and media in case a platform needs manual publishing.

Keep social separate from member notices

A public social post is not a substitute for a direct message to registered members or an urgent club notice. Use email, SMS or portal communication where the audience and preferences make that appropriate. Social-media connections rely on third-party platform permissions and are not an alternative to club records.

Good to know

Common questions

Which social platforms can connect?

Available connector platforms are Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok and YouTube. Account eligibility, publishing formats and platform permissions vary.

Will one post publish in the same format everywhere?

No. The networks have different publishing rules and supported formats. Review platform-specific validation and results for each connected destination.

Does social scheduling guarantee reach?

No. Scheduling initiates a publishing attempt, not a guarantee of acceptance, reach or engagement. Platform rules, connection health and audience activity affect outcomes.
